Compact, light and very robust, it has two main functions: to signal its presence (to an aircraft, a boat, etc.) in the event of a rescue operation and to communicate (essentially in MORSE code) to a distant point - obviously it is necessary that the surface between the transmitter and the receiver be on a clear line (maximum range of 10 miles / 15Km).

This model will require an “in-house” improvement if you wish to transmit messages with – a pre-cut sheet of paper to be positioned in front of the heliograph, for example.
