The module

Philosophy of the module, day-to-day program, pre-requisites, the management team, insurance ...

Some essential points for a good understanding of the spirit of this course, especially when it comes to the pedagogical positioning in comparison with the training modules provided by official entities (armed forces, special services, schools...) or by private companies oriented towards survival and techniques meant to be used in specific environments:

This course will not allow you to acquire specific knowledge or master a set of military skills in such a short time. Mainly because obviously, one week is not enough, then because of the stress, the reduction of rest time and the level of exceptional comfort imposed on the trainees.

The classes, assignments, and tasks given during the course are meant to teach overcoming physical barriers, learning teamwork in a combat situation and bring a "military-centric" vision of the consequences of an internal conflict, and give the necessary tools to understand the challenges faced by leaders of units or militias made up of purely "civilian" recruits. The course also covers preparatory stages of combat operations, according to a range of scenarios, case studies, or RETEX.

In every respect, the trainees will face challenging conditions (except access to food - meals and snacks are plentiful). This with the explicit purpose of confronting the trainee with himself, his leadership abilities, and his will no matter the circumstances.

IN SUMMARY: THIS COURSE IS A BASIS - THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL - PRIOR TO "TRUE" WORK -

No specific academic profile is necessary, even if enough background is needed to integrate specific concepts (organizational, group psychology ...) and a general level of knowledge to address geopolitical, economic, or technological problems (discussed during conferences or informal exchanges during the course).

The essential point is to master your "mental resistance." You will:

Reach your physical limits, especially during sleep deprivation, lack of comfort, or specific maneuvers.

Undergo the psychological pressure imposed by the different tasks and objectives set for you, safe handling of firearms and explosives, and the effect of group living.

Submit to the training staff (which implements a "harder" training scheme than the one practiced in traditional European forces).

Fitness level is not a discriminating factor; those who benefit from quality physical training will help others. On the other hand, knowing how to swim is mandatory.

  • Our course structure does not allow the admission of female trainees.

  • Each trainee file is pre-validated according to our internal criteria

Required documents

  • A medical certificate of fitness dated and signed by the doctor (which includes any current treatment)
  • A documented clean criminal record - no. 3 (or any official document from a state in the Schengen area)
  • A valid biometric passport (for border crossing)

Documents to be signed by the participant:

  • A contractual agreement of confidentiality (especially concerning the identity of the other participants)
  • A contractual document of commitment to the internal regulations and safety rules (particularly the handling and use of firearms)

* A multi-drug urine test will be performed before the start of the course. A positive test will immediately terminate the course for the participant concerned.

The module takes place around Chernihiv (Chernihiv Oblast):

  • Village of Desnyanka (northwest of Chernihiv)

    • Theoretical courses, obstacle course, river swimming, and various classes - including night exercises
  • The 169-th Training Center of Land Forces - Desna Village

    • All weapons training - handguns, rifles, grenades, rockets and improvised explosives

The module will take place, depending on the weather forecast, either in January or in February. With an average temperature between -1° and -12° Celsius, this period is the most favorable to joys of a training course in the "cold zone," and learning to adapt when confronted with the rigors of winter.

Please refer to the page "YOUR PACKING" in the program. In the effects you must take with you for the course duration, IT IS ESSENTIAL to consider the negative temperatures and weather conditions (snow, mud, humidity...).

Two types of insurance are contracted for the course period:

  • Liability insurance covering:

    • Risks of accidents resulting from a lack of safety
    • Damage caused by a trainee to the equipment provided
    • Risk of accidents outside the training period (rest, meals, etc.)
  • “Medical & repatriation” insurance which covers:

    • Care that would be necessary following an accident or illness

Before the start of the course:

  • Each trainee reads a contractual document in which they commit to the absolute respect of the security instructions communicated by the training team members, initials it, and signs it.
