All professionals (French or French) know this mnemonic means. It is therefore not a reminder for infantry, gendarmes or police officers, but a basic element that will allow everyone to integrate the essential principle in combat or observation: to be as discreet as possible !

  • Background: what should be camouflaged does not come off the bottom (a persimmon soldier on a white wall)


  • Shape: erase the most visible shapes Shadow: the projected shadow accentuates the shape


  • Movement: the movement is very visible


  • Shine: any shiny or reflective surface can send a very visible glow


  • Color: military camouflages are the most neutral colors in nature


  • Noise: not to be heard, and especially not to speak, not to betray his presence


  • Light: obviously the most visible thing in the middle of the night


  • Smell: relief of food, droppings, cigarette ...


  • Traces: empty cans and casings, rest of rations ... anything that could betray your passage
